BOB KRUGER

Bob Kruger has decades of experience as a Technology, Operations and Global Growth Leader who has driven creative development and agile delivery of emerging global technology and product strategies for cross-functional, local and geographically dispersed teams. Experience spans multi-level engineering of new solutions on premise and in the cloud; turnaround of failing products and teams; implementation of a major industry standard; definition and implementation of major corporate initiatives and relationships for mature companies and startups; development and growth of organizational leaders, teams, and processes.

Technical Leader, Coach & Mentor

 Work Accomplishments:

  • Currently Chief Product Officer overseeing Engineering and Product Management for Almaden, Inc., a provider of IT Asset Managment (ITAM) and Digital Experience Management (DEX) solutions leveraging the power of generative AI. Created and landed DEX product in Forrester Group and Gartner Magic Quadrant and Solutions Guides, in less than two years.

  • Senior Vice President of Engineering at SunView Software, responsible for development, test, delivery, and support for AI/ML-based, leading-edge IT Service Management (ITSM) products.

  • Vice President of StreamOne at Tech Data Corporation, driving innovation and development of the global platform that powers Tech Data Corporation’s cloud marketplace and integration technologies.

  • Senior management technology roles at various Silicon Valley startups, and enterprise companies such as NDCHealth, Citrix Systems, and BMC Software.

  • 11 years at Microsoft, last overseeing systems management products and the creation of the Web-Based Enterprise Management and Common Information Model industry standards.

Bob was a contributor and technical reviewer for Bill Gates' second book, Business @ the Speed of Thought, and a contributing author to Aspatore’s, Inside the Minds: Making Critical Technology Decisions. He is an advisor to Evolute (container startup), a Plato and an Alchemist Accelerator mentor, plus has been an advisor to the Centro Europeo de Empresas e Innovación de Murcia (CEEIM) located in Spain.

He has a BA from the University of California (Los Angeles) with follow-on studies at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the AeA/Stanford University Executive Institute for Management of High-Technology Companies. Bob has extensive international experience and speaks Spanish and Portuguese, in addition to English.

Over the course of his career, Bob has turned around low performing and troubled teams and infused them with purpose and discipline. Likewise, he has effectively groomed managers and leads, and helped transform senior managers into very capable, results-driven leaders. This has led to substantial revenue benefits for each of the companies that employed him.
